Vintage Goldeneye Duck Decoy, unknown maker & region

Description

I'm not sure where this little (11 1/4" long with a 9 1/2" body) roly-poly goldeneye comes from.  His round bottomed body reminds me of some of Ira Hudson's work.  This decoy has been repainted and has no eyes.  There is still a ballast weight and the initials "S.F." pecked into the bottom with a
tack
numbered "34".  He is virtually untouched since he was last used.  His bill used to be olive green.
