Vintage Bluebill Duck Decoy, Illinois, unknown Carver

Description

Here's a Illinois Bluebill decoy with counter-sunk tack eyes, now rusty, and carved primaries with an applied pad ballast weight, 15" long.  The lighter colored paint around the middle has several nicks in it from use.  Made of two pieces of wood the bird is hollow.  The paint appears to be a combination of original and overpaint.  A nice example of Illinois decoy.
