Beekeeping Suit Size Guide
Beekeeping overalls are designed to be worn over clothing, so we suggest that you
pick a size larger than your normal clothing size.
This will provide ample room for your clothing underneath the suit and will create a loose, comfortable fit.
Sizing Example:
A typical 6ft 180lbs Male (183cm tall and weighing 80kg) will fit both a Medium or Large Sized Beekeepers Suit. However, when wearing the tighter fitting size Medium simple tasks such as bending over the hive may make the suit tight fitting or lift the ankle cuffs up over the top of your boots. Therefore a
LARGE
would be the preferred size.

Nape to crotch is your "Torso". Measure the body, from top of shirt collar to 15cm below crotch. You will want the fabric size to allow 6 inches (15 cm) below the crotch for best mobility when wearing the suit.
L:
Nape to ankle hem is neckbone (nape) to ankle
W:
Waist band circumference expandable range (tight - stretched) Waist is elastic so it expands as needed.
A:
Nape to cuff is middle of neck to wrists.
C:
Chest is the full suit size torso width
The Sizing Chart is a measurement of the actual fabric on the suit.
In order to properly use this chart you would need to compare the chart to your own body size measuring over the top of your clothing and compare to the chart. Slightly larger is advised so we suggest going to the larger size if right on the edge of two sizes.
HOW TO MEASURE YOUR BEEKEEPERS SUIT SIZE
The most important measurement on sizing is the Torso, or
"nape to crotch"
in the sizing chart. To properly calculate this measurement, measure the wearer from the top of your shirt collar to about 6 inches (15cm) below the bottom of your crotch. 6 inches (15cm) is the minimum to allow for proper mobility when wearing the suit. The second most important measurement to consider is the
"waist band circumference"
which is an elastic waistband. You will want the elastic waistband to be fitting your individual size.
When gathering your measurements, please consider wearing clothes especially a sweater/jumper if you think you will need to wear this type of clothing under your suit when managing your hive.
