    Vernon Kilns
Up for auction is a vintage ceramic or china salad plate, with an image of "Cotton Pickers", created by Rockwell Kent for his "Our America" series of dinnerware.  The brown plate measures approximately 7.5 inches across in diameter.  Rockwell Kent was a famous American artist/illustrator, and his "Our America" series featured various American scenes, revealing the nature of work, labor and wealth in the United States, utilizing more than thirty illustrations of American's most unique cultural icons.  Vernon Kilns was a ceramics company located in Vernon, California, that operated from 1931 until 1958.
Both Salad Plates are in great vintage condition, with no cracks, chips, stains, discoloration, repairs, nor any other damage that I can detect, other than some very minor surface scratches due to utensil use, as well as kiln stand marks on the underside of the plate, from when the plate was fired.

Thank you for looking.  If you have any questions or would like additional information or pictures, please e-mail me as I would be happy to provide additional details.  Please note that all items being sold come from a smoke-free and pet-free home.  I am not a professional dealer, and am simply downsizing after years of collecting.  I try very hard to accurately list and describe the condition of each item that I sell, and can appreciate the frustration of receiving an item that is not as described.  Being human, I will occasionally make a mistake, and may miss a flaw or imperfection that would leave one dissatisfied with their purchase.  If this occurs, and you feel that the item you receive is not as described, please contact me immediately.  My goal is that each individual who buys from me is happy with their purchase.
